Southwest Carpenters Local 1912 Participates in Press Conference with Arizona State Senator Kirsten Engel

Arizona State Senator Kirsten Engel (LD-10) joined Southwest Carpenters Local 1912 in Arizona and business leaders along with public health advocates to urge the state’s elected leaders in Washington to support federal investments in clean transportation infrastructure. Moms Clean Air Force Arizona and the BlueGreen Alliance hosted the press conference as part of a $10 million grassroots campaign during the August 2021 congressional recess in 12 states and 19 competitive House districts to demand for ambitious investments in clean energy, environmental justice and climate solutions organized by the Climate Action Campaign.

Arizona Regional Manager, Fabian Sandez spoke during the press conference about Southwest Carpenters’ commitment to creating tens of thousands of good-paying, sustainable jobs.

“The Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters is proud to be leading the fight for a clean energy economy here in Arizona. Investing in clean energy and transportation not only will clean our air and protect our environment, it will create good-paying, sustainable jobs for tens of thousands of Arizonans,” said Fabian Sandez, Regional Manager of the Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters. “We look forward to working with our state’s Congressional delegation and the Biden Administration to ensure we continue to invest in Arizona.”
