Congresswoman Dina Titus, representing Nevada’s 1st District, is a former professor of political science where she taught at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas for 34 years. Throughout her political career, the Congresswoman has an impressive record of fighting and advocating for working families.
In the House of Representatives, Dina Titus has been a member of various committees and currently chairs the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Subcommittee, where she works to help Nevada’s communities better respond to natural disasters, address the devastating impacts of climate change, and fight for infrastructure projects that will benefit the most vulnerable.
Congresswoman Titus is a long-time friend of the Carpenters and has a history of standing up for blue collar workers. In recent years, she has attended many of Local 1977 events, supported our community fundraisers, and has even spoken at our Delegates’ Meeting. Knowing first hand that jobs, wages, and benefits are the pathway to a better life for workers and their families is one of the reasons she adamantly supports the Union Carpenter way of life.
