Washington Sisters Beep Ball Tournament
Sister Carpenters of Locals 206, 360 & 425 teamed up as ‘The Sassy Sisters’ to compete with The Puget Sound Wave for their third annual Beepball Game. Beepball, for those who are unfamiliar, is a competitive sport that emulates baseball. All players are blindfolded, and audio cues guide players to swing the bat and score runs. Sister Linda Romanovitch of Local 206 organizes this annual event partnering with members from the Washington Council of the Blind to bring Carpenters together for wholesome fun while spreading awareness about the blind and visually impaired community of Puget Sound.
It’s Summer Picnic Season in the Southland
This weekend Locals 721, 562, and 619 celebrated members by hosting their annual summer appreciation picnics. Union Carpenters and their families enjoyed a day in the park alongside their Union Brothers and Sisters joining together for a classic cookout, games, and an afternoon full of raffle prizes. Local 562 and Local 721 hosted a pin-ceremony to honor members who have met milestone years of service. Many thanks to the Locals for coordinating such great events and congratulations once again to all pin recipients.

Local 1912 AATF Night Blast
Local 1912 African American Task Force Committee participated in a community outreach event this past weekend at Kiwanis Park in Tempe, AZ. Union Carpenters had a booth at the annual Night Blast, a family friendly event with music, games, and vendors that marks the end of summer. AATF members handed out stickers, carpenter pencils, and served as spokespersons on the benefits of a career as a Union Carpenter. We thank our Local 1912 AATF Committee for creating a Carpenter presence in their community.
